Anna C Trio

Anna C Trio performs traditional Scandinavian folk tunes and Swedish folk songs.
They play folk tunes with strong melodies and grooves influenced by their life experiences and relocations to various regions in Sweden.
Their repertoire encompasses traditional folk tunes from different parts of Sweden, spanning from Norrland to Skåne,
and occasionally including music from Denmark and the other Nordic countries.

Anna Cederquist is a southern Sweden-based, musician, teacher, composer, creator, producer, and instrument builder.
Anna was born in 1973 and raised in Piteå, a town on the coast of Swedish Lapland in the northern part of Sweden.

Piteå is a small town located near both the archipelago and sea, rivers, and forests, in stark contrast to Malmö, where she has lived since 1997. Malmö is situated in the southernmost part of Sweden in the Skåne area.

Anna plays Swedish traditional flutes, and recorders in combination with folk-singing.
She loves combining music genres with arts, crafts, and history, such as blending traditional folk music and songs with baroque music and/or creating and performing music with circus shows.
Since 2018, she has also immersed herself in Swedish traditional flutes both building and playing folk pipes of various kinds and diving into their fantastic song treasure.
Since 2010, Anna has been playing, inventing and building with her music group SKROT. Ranging from musical instruments out of scrap materials to musical playgrounds and exhibitions.

Anna Cederquist

Jens Ulvsand is a guitarist and bouzouki player who has been active as a musician since the mid-80s, mainly in folk and "world music".
He has toured worldwide and has been playing between 50 and 100 concerts per year since 1985.
Jens has performed with bands such as Little Big Band, Afro Tiambo, Avadå, Worchestra, Trio Mio, Himmerland och Teta Diana Band.
He has released around 30 albums. Jens has also been a teacher and course leader at Skurup music course as well as
teaching courses at for example the Conservatory of Music in Odense and at Malmö Academy of Music.

Jens Ulvsand

Hans Nilsson is a versatile musician with extensive experience as a composer, arranger, and educator.
A multi-instrumentalist specializing in saxophone and piano/keyboard.
Hans has contributed to around 20 record releases and produced music and sound design for audiobooks and VR games. He has also composed music for the Church of Sweden’s Choir Association.
Hans has toured across Sweden, Holland, Germany, and Estonia, both with his own projects and as part of others.
For the past decade, he has been a key member of the music group SKROT, which has led workshops and performed concerts for children throughout Sweden.

In 2011, Anna Cederquist and Jens Ulvsand started to play in a trio together with Olof Göthlin (violin).
And after only a year, their first album was released. After a few years, Olof moved home to Värmland, and after a break with the trio,
Hans Nilsson joined in 2023 on soprano sax and bass clarinet.
